Avid introduces Huddle: review with Media Composer and Teams

The new SaaS solution Huddle, the latest development from 狂热者, enables accelerated approval of post-production processes by securely linking Media Composer and Microsoft Teams。

Without leaving Media Composer, editors can use Huddle to securely launch a Teams meeting that allows participants to review high-quality video content, confident that their content is protected. Avid’s latest development allows producers, clients and other reviewers to give immediate feedback to editors by virtually adding time-stamped comments and annotations as they discuss content via a live session.

In addition, Avid Huddle eliminates the time-consuming process of sending content to multiple stakeholders and collecting their input separately. By simulating an in-person content review process, editing teams can significantly accelerate project delivery, saving “time and money.” Avid Huddle will be available as a flexible monthly or annual subscription, allowing users to scale the service up or down as needed. Only the host needs to have an Avid Huddle subscription; participants can join sessions through Microsoft Teams.

Tanya O’Connor, vice president of market solutions at Avid, explains why the company developed the solution: “Collaborating to review video content during post production is challenging when the creative team is distributed across multiple locations.
