Oliver Frenzel, new business development manager for SMART at Lawo

Lawo promotes a company veteran: Oliver Frenzel. As head of business development for SMART, Frenzel will be responsible for driving the entire range of IP network monitoring solutions.

Frenzel, a graduate in television and electronic media engineering, began his journey at Lawo as head of support and director of customer service. Frenzel then became responsible for SLA business development at Lawo, developing quality structures for service agreements for the Lawo entire range of solutions.

Now, Frenzel will be responsible for driving the SMART product line, which comprises the smartSCOPE network analyzer and deep packet inspection, and the smartDASH real-time system monitoring and telemetry solution, a vendor-independent enterprise software suite designed to provide complete network and media visibility across an all-IP, all-SDI or hybrid WAN/LAN broadcast infrastructure.

Oliver Frenzel, in his first statements as head of business development for SMART, has detailed his vision for his new scope of work: “Through my experience in support, I know how important it is for mission critical operation to have good monitoring and measurement capabilities. This is even more important for complex broadcast IP networks, as there is no longer ‘the cable’ that transmits a single SDI video signal,” says Frenzel. “I’m very proud that Lawo has given me the responsibility for this task. I have always admired the commitment of all colleagues in developing and manufacturing innovative broadcast products and solutions at top quality level and apply them to the benefit of our customers.
