América Televisión strengthens its graphics with Ross Video’s XPression
The Peruvian channel América Televisión has once again placed its trust in Росс Видео solutions. On this occasion, it has adopted the XPression graphics and titling system.
América Televisión is the first commercial broadcaster with regular broadcasts in Peru. Based in Lima and founded in 1958, its programming features a selection of news, quiz shows, talk shows, reality shows and entertainment content that has allowed it to become an audience leader year after year.
Under the leadership of Javier Vásquez Mendoza, head of support engineering and oppositions, the television station began implementing Ross products seven years ago. Initially, Vasquez relied on the Canadian manufacturer’s production switchers, and then bet on the XPressión graphics and dithering solution (complemented with DashBoard control panels). Its latest implementation has been the Inception Cloud platform, which has made it possible to integrate the media’s social networks with XPression graphics.
Vasquez’s satisfaction with XPression is very high. The engineering manager believes that the high level of competition in the country’s entertainment industry requires solutions that enable “visually impressive” content. According to him, XPression is enabling them to achieve their goals by being a “very powerful and easy-to-use” tool. “Also, we use a MOS workflow in our newsroom and XPression integrates very well with the other products we have,” he stresses.
Availability and support
Vasquez also highlights in his speech the facilities provided by the Ross Video team: “When we first started working with Ross and we had some technical questions we were incredibly satisfied with the support – available 24 hours a day, whenever we needed it. That gave us great confidence in Ross as a technology partner and the quality of support has remained consistently high.”
