Lançamentos AJA para IBC 2023: Kona X, HDR Image Analyzer 12G 3.0…
The new Kona X I/O card, version 3.0 of the Imagine Analyzer 12G HDR and four new openGear 12G-SDI conversion solutions are the big new features AJA will be showcasing at IBC 2023 from September 15-18.
Compatible with the new AJA Desktop Software v17 and version 17 of AJA’s world-class Software Development Kit (SDK), AJA Kona X is a 4-lane PCIe 3.0 card that offers ultra-low latency video capture and playback for applications spanning media and entertainment, live production, OEM development, etc. Combining full-size dual bi-directional BNC 12G-SDI e dual HDMI 2.0 connections, Kona X has all the tools necessary to meet a wide range of I/O demands.
Among Kona X’s standout features is built-in streaming DMA, which enables users to achieve latency as low as below sub-frame for crucial tasks involving video I/O, whether with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) or for gaming, augmented reality (AR) graphics, overlays or other tasks requiring instantaneous performance. Robust, full-size I/O streamlines installation while providing increased longevity to the board, and visible status LEDs on the Kona X backplane offer intuitive connection and status reporting. A microcontroller embedded in the firmware allows AJA’s development partners to leverage the card for almost any use case, while compatibility with AJA’s SDK on Windows, Linux and macOS makes it easy to program and configure Kona X using a familiar toolset. For applications requiring advanced audio, LTC, RS-422 and other functionality, an optional Kona Xpand break-out card is available, which installs in an adjacent PCIe slot.
Kona X also takes advantage of AJA’s desktop software feature set, including new enhancements in the latest v17 update such as improved support for closed captioning, performance improvements for Apple silicon systems, Rocky Linux support and more. Available on macOS, Windows and Linux, AJA Desktop Software includes robust and reliable application plug-ins for popular creative tools such as Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro and others. Also included are the AJA Control Room, Control Panel and System Test applications.
HDR Image Analyzer 12G 3.0
AJA will also debut AJA Analisador de imagens HDR 12G system software 3.0 at IBC 2023, which brings powerful new features to the HDR monitoring and analysis solution. Designed to help professionals keep pace with changing demands in live, on-set, quality control (QC) and post-production environments, the free upgrade increases the volume of video channels that can be analyzed simultaneously; integrates new Dolby Vision tools; adds É connectivity options; expands support for the latest ARRI color science with ARRI LogC4 analysis; and enhances 8K/UHD2 support for high-resolution workflows.
With v3.0 software, HDR Image Analyzer 12G now supports up to four independent channels of signal analysis, up to 4x 4K/UHD. Each quadrant of the user interface (UI) can be individually configured to present an analysis tool for any of the four channels. The upgrade allows users to access a new four-channel view to monitor each signal simultaneously, with each channel displaying the image, waveform and vectorscope, in addition to the audio measurement.
In addition to offering multichannel signal analysis capabilities, HDR Image Analyzer 12G v3.0 introduces Dolby Vision dynamic metadata inspection and display, with support for Visão Dolby v4.0 and v2.9, via auto-detection. The enhancement allows users to take an SDI signal with embedded Dolby Vision metadata and display the Dolby Vision metadata in a variety of ways. L1 metadata is presented visually on the waveform as NIT markers and all metadata is displayed in the Dolby Vision metadata analysis tool as readable text. It can also be viewed in real time on a scene-by-scene/shot-by-shot basis or as metadata is changed in the HDR image analyzer.
In addition, HDR Image Analyzer 12G v3.0 further expands the available device connectivity and offers support for additional camera registration color spaces and more 8K formats. Users can now send full 4K/UHD/2K/HD NDI signals over an ethernet connection to HDR Image Analyzer 12G and run them through its robust set of image analysis tools as they would an SDI signal without external conversion technology, saving space, power and cost. The feature comes along with new native support for ARRI LogC4 analysis and additional support for 8K/UHD2 formats. It now supports 8K 2SI/SQD quad-link YCbCr up to 60 fps, 8K 2SI/SQD quad-link RGB up to 30 fps and 8K dual-link YCbCr up to 30 fps.
New openGear 12G-SDI solutions
Sistemas de Vídeo AJA rounds out its selection for IBC 2023 with new openGear 12G-SDI cards, which incorporate the functionality of its 12G-SDI and HDMI audio conversion solutions in an openGear rack-compatible format. Designed to meet the demands of high-resolution, high frame rate (HFR) workflows, AJA OG-12G-AM e OG-12G-AMA enable sixteen channels (eight two-channel pairs) of AES and analog audio embedding/de-embedding respectively, and support 12G-SDI input and output up to 4K/UltraHD.
In parallel, the new AJA OG-Hi5-12G e OG-HA5-12G cards facilitate 12G-SDI to/from HDMI conversion, and are also available in LC and ST fiber models. Each hot-swappable card is built for use in high-density openGear 2RU racks, including AJA OG-X-FR, offers intuitive remote control through compatibility with Ross DashBoard software on Windows, macOS and Linux, and includes a five-year warranty.
