VSN to showcase latest advances in rights management and monetisation at IBC 2022
Meeting rooms MS16 and MS17 (Hall 8) and stand 8.B73 (shared with Aspire Software) will be the two spaces at IBC 2022 (September 9-12) where VSN will share its latest innovations in copyright management and monetization.
VSNExplorer arrives at IBC 2022 loaded with improvements in segment copyright management. The VSN MAM System has long enabled the search, preview and management of specific content segments in ativos. To these capabilities, VSNExplorer MAM now adds the option to block that specific content from segments, preventing its distribution, publication and limiting its availability for video editing tasks. Thanks to this functionality, assets that include segments that no longer have permissions are automatically marked in the system, allowing a more efficient and effective control of their audiovisual rights and protecting users from potential legal problems.
The second protagonist of VSN’s IBC 2022 is the VSNCrea tool. The BMS (Broadcast Management System) responds to the market’s needs to improve advertising management and content monetisation. Thanks to the extension of the system’s pricing options, users can automatically calculate the rates for the inclusion of advertising elements within the content, such as, for example, graphic insertions or mentions of the presenter. In addition, VSNCrea is showcasing new advertising scheduling automation capabilities at IBC 2022. By scheduling an advertisement in a user-defined advertising slot, VSNCrea allows to automate the insertion of this advertisement in other similar segments within the broadcast. The system takes into account a number of filters to prevent the advertisement from being included in an unsuitable space, for example, by avoiding the consecutive broadcasting of two advertisements on the same product or in the same market.
VSNCrea users will also be able to enjoy new options to make the use of their systems more flexible, thanks to the integration of the new metadata rules editor (already introduced in VSNExplorer MAM during NAB 2022). With this new option, the VSN customers will be able to edit and manage metadata fields using a simple programming language, being able to customise the way they use their software and adapt it to their specific needs.
A flexible and democratic model
The new functionalities aim to contribute to the VSN mission of providing integrated media solutions, both for the broadcast & media industry and for companies that need to improve their media management. The systems of VSN allow their installation in 100% nuvem environments, as well as their contracting under the SaaS business model. In this way, the company democratizes the access to leading solutions such as VSNExplorer MAM, VSNExplorer PAM or VSNCrea.
Commenting on the VSN presence at IBC 2022, Ricardo Q. Denise, marketing director at VSN, commented: “We are very excited about our return to IBC 2022. We look forward to taking advantage of the opportunities of our new meeting format to foster a closer relationship with our existing and potential customers. We believe this strategy is a good reflection of one of our company values, which is to provide customised solutions to each customer’s specific needs, while providing them with the best technical service and continuing to develop our product capabilities.
