Matrox Monarch Edge decoder certifies compatibility with Panasonic 4K PTZs
After completing interoperability testing over public networks, Panasonic has validated the Matrox Monarch EDGE D4 decoder with its AW-UE100 and AW-UE150 PTZ cameras for remote 4K production workflows.
The Panasonic AW-UE100 e AW-UE150 4K/HD PTZ cameras were shown to be capable of transmitting 4K/UHD 60p/50p images to a Monarch EDGE D4 decoder, which converts the SRT stream into a genlocked 12G-SDI signal for integration into an SDI workflow. Similarly, it has been proven how productions with multiple 4K cameras can incorporate several additional Monarch EDGE D4 decoders.
Jim Jensen, senior category owner of professional remote systems Panasonic, notes that PTZ cameras “team well with Matrox Monarch EDGE products”, thus providing “a REMI solution for reliable video delivery with the SRT protocol, even on unstable of networks.” On the other hand, Daniel Maloney, technical marketing manager, Matrox Video, adds, “as broadcasters look to integrate and cover a broader range of remote events, the Panasonic camera and Monarch EDGE combination ensures the highest-quality 4K productions and viewing experiences.”
