Arvato Systems launches VidiEditor, a cloud-based video editor
VidiEditor, a edition tool accessible through a web browser supported by cloud technology, has just been made available by Arvato Systems.
This editing system aims to offer all the necessary tools to facilitate remote editing flows, thus optimizing journalistic editing and content preparation. VidiEditor faz parte VidiNet, Vidispine’s cloud-based multimedia services platform and works through all major Internet browsers.
Designed specifically for use in the cloud, its cost automatically adapts para o concurrent users using the platform. This means, Arvato notes, that users will be able to access the platform whenever they need it but will not have to pay unless they are working on it.
Easy to use
VidiEditor’s user interface allows users to search for audiovisual assets while benefiting from an instant preview with an optimized player. System features also include “fast and precise” editing using trimming tools; drag-and-drop capabilities; intelligent keyboard shortcuts; timeline optimization functions such as audio channel duplication; audio peak metering; the ability to record voice-over directly on the edited sequence; e integrated publishing options.
Karsten Schragmann, head of Vidispine product management at Arvato Systems, emphasizes the value of remote production in today’s workflows: “Remote editing workflows became instantly vital during the pandemic and are very much an established part of the broadcast workflow now.
