EVS Feria - Show - Preview NAB 2022

SVE is returning to NAB 2022 with little new, although it will be showing LSM-VIA and MediaInfra Strada for the first time at a major show.

From stand 2625 in the North Hall, SVE will demonstrate how its technology “continues to lead” the live production industry through its solutions. It will do so by articulating its proposal around three pillars: LiveCeption, MediaCeption and MediaInfra, solutions that enable the creation of live replays and highlights.

Through live demonstrations of each set of solutions, visitors will see the different ways in which EVS’ best-of-breed products can be combined to create and manage content with “great flexibility and efficiency”. They will also discover how EVS works with its many certified partners to address specific customer challenges at every stage of the production process.

EVS - LSM-VIA NAB 2022LiveCeption and LSM-VIA

Visitors to NAB will discover how the EVS LiveCeption solutions are helping to address rapidly evolving video standards and enabling them to deploy flexible workflows that meet all production requirements, including the growing need for remote or in-house operations. Taking into account the diversity of production resources and budgets, EVS offers two distinct sets of LiveCeption solutions: LiveCeption Signature, for high-end productions; and LiveCeption Pure, for entry-level productions.

LSM-VIA will be the focus of much of the attention on the stand, making its first appearance at a “major trade show” since its launch in May 2020. This solution, a key component of the LiveCeption Signature solution and the common UX for all XT-VIA E XT-GO servers, provides the speed and flexibility to enable rapid deployment of remote and distributed workflows. Demonstrations of EVS LiveCezione solutions will also highlight the enhanced replay capabilities provided by the new XtraMotion super slow motion camera service, which can be easily activated from the LSM-VIA controller.

In parallel, with a focus on helping its customers adapt to emerging formats and take advantage of new technologies, EVS offers a wide range of flexible MediaInfra solutions. These include HDR conversion and low latency JPEG XS compression with Neuron, or a global control and monitoring layer with Cerebrum, which comes with a new SDN licence that ensures the smooth execution of all streams over an IP network.

EVS - MediaInfra Strada NAB 2022MediaCeption, MediaInfra Strada, Dyvi…

At NAB 2022, SVE will also highlight its end-to-end asset management solutions, which aim to provide a “smooth transition” path from legacy SDI environments to IP ‘and beyond’. At the heart of this proposition is MediaCeption Signature, EVS’ end-to-end content management solution that offers rapid content delivery from ingest and import to playout in “any production environment”.

The transition from SDI to IP is another technology challenge that broadcasters continue to face today. MediaInfra Strada, which has already received several industry awards since its launch in June 2021, will be presented for the first time at NAB. The turnkey SDI/IP routing solution serves as a replacement for end-of-service SDI routers, enabling a simple and user-friendly transition path for transmission to IP-based infrastructures.

Finally, visitors to the stand will have the opportunity to explore the latest enhancements to its software-defined switcher, the Dyvi. Easy to use and configure between back-to-back productions, the Dyvi is acclaimed for its ability to launch complex transitions and effects and for its open software architecture, which facilitates integration with control systems such as Cervello, as well as third party automation.
