KY-PZ400N, a 4K PTZ camera from JVC with NDI capabilities, is now available.
The latest addition to the Connected CAM range from JVC, the 4K PTZ KY-PZ400N, is now shipping.
Its HD versions, the KY-PZ200NW/NB and the more economical KY-PZ200W/B, will begin shipping in November. Both the KY-PZ400N and PZ200N benefit from Vizrt Group’s NDI | HX technology, Vizrt’s high quality, low latency IP video transmission standard. Joe D’Amico, vice president of JVC Professional Video, highlights the inclusion of NDI in this PTZ series: “We are excited to provide this functionality in our new 4K and HD PTZ production cameras and look forward to shipping these new cameras to our customers. With the 4K model shipping now and the HD-versions shipping later this year, current and prospective JVC customers can enjoy the benefits and freedom that NDI technology brings to their streaming productions.”
Equipped with a 1/2.5-inch 4K progressive scan 1/2.5-inch CMOS image sensor, IL KY-PZ400N has a wide angle of view (approx. 26.4mm @35mm equivalence), 0.5 Lux minimum illumination and 16x digital zoom. The KY-PZ200N and KY-PZ200 feature a 1/2.8-inch progressive CMOS image sensor, as well as a 20x optical zoom that reaches 606.9mm @35mm equivalence. All three cameras feature HDMI and 3G-SDI interfaces, RJ45 with PoE, RS232 and RS485 as standard.
More transmission protocols
All three PTZs include SRT, HTTP, RTSP, RTMP/RTMPS and other standard transmission protocols. JVC highlights two features made possible by SRT technology: automatic repeat request (ARQ) and forward error correction (FEC), both designed to prevent packet loss that often occurs on Internet connections. On the other hand, the KY-PZ400N finds a powerful ally in the BR-DE900 ProHD decoder from JVC. This system, compatible with HEVC/H.265 and H.264/AVC compression standards, features a rugged, portable housing adapted for use in the field.
The JVC three new PTZs also stand out for being able to synchronize for multi-camera production of live events thanks to the built-in Vertical Interval Time Code (VITC) with the Network Time Protocol (NTP). In parallel, all PTZs can extend their versatility, JVC stresses, when combined with the JVC RM-LP100 remote camera controller, JVC KM-IP6000/4000 live IP production suites or systems such as vMix, OBS Studio or those designed by NewTek.
