Sapec unveils Sivac-one Compact, a new portable solution for UHD contributions (4K)

Building on the popular Sivac-one Media Processor (SMP) card, designed for HEVC/H.265 4:2:2/4:2:0 and 10 bits per pixel video transport, Sapec now launches Sivac-one Compact, a robust and high quality solution designed on a portable, lightweight and very low power platform.

This product is suited to the “most demanding” live video transport applications where “simplicity, reliability and low latency” are key requirements, such as different 4K video transport scenarios where mobile connection conditions (5G/4G/3G) are not ideal, and transport over IP or ASI is required.

Sivac-one Compact provides highly reliable video transport with latencies of less than 150 ms, making it a solution for interactive video applications such as sports contributions, live events, news, remote production and even signal returns.

This model is capable of processing one 4K UHD (HDR, WCG) video channel with 2160p50/60 resolution or up to 4 FHD/HD channels with resolutions up to 1080p50/60 in a small footprint and with a power consumption of less than 30W. In both cases with support for up to 16 channels of digital audio (stereo).

Inputs/outputs

Like SMP, the Compact version offers different input/output possibilities to adapt to the needs of each project. The available inputs are 12G/4x3G/HD/SD-SDI and the outputs are 2xDVB-ASI or 2xIP UDP/ RTP with FEC SMPTE 2022-1/2/7 (Multicast/Unicast).

In addition, it offers the possibility of dual redundant 12 VDC power supply, which differentiates it from other portable solutions on the market. In addition, it has 2 built-in SFP/SFP+ 10G connectors for future applications.
