TVU Anywhere Center Stage iPad

Center Stage, through TVU Anywhere (Reti TVU), makes it possible to automate the tracking of people during live events on iOS devices.

Center Stage is a new feature of Mele iPad Pro (M1 chip models) that automates subject tracking through the use of artificial intelligence. Center Stage integration allows a reporter or anchor using TVU ovunque to vary their position during an interview or follow the subject as they move. In parallel, when additional people enter a shot, the camera automatically zooms out to capture the additional subject. When that person leaves, the shot returns to focus on the initial subject.

Center Stage is integrated with TVU Anywhere via API, so no external controls are required.

TVU Anywhere, available for mobiles or tablets

TVU ovunque is a downloadable application that turns smartphones or tablets into cameras ready to contribute live to all types of media. The system has features such as facial skin smoothing O zoom and remote camera settings.

Anywhere can deliver full HD transmissions with a latency of “as little as half a second”. Using TVU’s patented Inverse StatMux Plus (IS+) technology, the service manages to aggregate mobile connections with WiFi to provide stable video streams. In addition to two-way IFB, TVU Anywhere features dual-camera technology for simultaneous transmission of front and rear cameras in a picture-in-picture or split-screen option.

Paolo Shen, amministratore delegato di Reti TVU, highlights the value of Anywhere in news coverage: “TVU Anywhere usage soared by over 900 percent in 2020 and we expect continued growth beyond the pandemic. Our commitment is to give customers options to do with mobile devices what used to be reserved for only high-end, purpose-built broadcast technologies.”
