Ross Video va adopter NDI Advanced dans son portefeuille de solutions
Canadian company Vidéo de Ross will bring Vizrt Group’s NDI Advanced technology to “its entire portfolio”, extending and improving the existing support for the standard.
This collaboration will allow Ross to incorporate the most up-to-date AV network functions of NDI across its entire portfolio through NDI Advanced, seeking to improve video connectivity, flexibility and workflow efficiency across the entire ecosystem. Jeff Moore, executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Ross Video, says he has found NDI to be “incredibly useful,” which is why the company will integrate “the enhanced versions of NDI, NDI Advanced,” supporting “the evolution of NDI connectivity.” Meanwhile, Nick Mariette, director of product management at NDI, said, “A cornerstone company in the broadcasting industry adopting our most advanced technology and formats is the best demonstration of how NDI has grown to become a pervasive industry standard, capable of performing to the benchmark set by leaders in the segment.”
While NDI supports a wide range of video codecs and enables interoperability for devices and software over standard IP network infrastructures, NDI Advanced offers product developers all the benefits of NDI technology, such as device detection capability, bi-directional remote control and integrated metadata transmission, but also unlocks an additional set of features to enhance video connectivity. These include sending and receiving all NDI formats, from NDI High Bandwidth to NDI HX3; access to the NDI Certified program, which allows products to be certified by the NDI team to ensure interoperability, performance and reliability; custom SDKs for hardware or software, including reference designs for major Intel or AMD FPGA models; extended customization of connection settings for each sender, pager and receiver; AV Synchronization; Genlock API; and KVM support.
Vidéo de Ross will incorporate NDI Advanced capabilities broadly across its portfolio, including product lines such as the XPression graphics solution, the Ultrix hyper-converged platform, PTZ broadcast video cameras, the Media I/O capture and playout solution, softGear Streaming Gateway, the Vision[Ai]ry Ft facial recognition and tracking solution, the Piero sports graphics analysis system, and the Tableau de bord production and facility control solution.
