Riedel Networks appoints Timo Koch as Chief Commercial Officer of its media division

Timo Koch joins Riedel Networks, a Riedel-owned company, to lead the commercial direction of its media division.

Reporting directly to Michael Martens, CEO of Riedel Networks, Koch will oversee the company’s business and commercial development in the media and entertainment sector. Complementing the company’s Enterprise division focused on SD-WAN, network edge, security and cloud solutions for the corporate sector, Riedel Networks’ Media division leverages the company’s expertise in broadcast, sports and live events to offer a portfolio of network solutions tailored to the needs of the media and entertainment market. With the signing of Koch, Riedel Networks is looking to expand its existing connectivity business, initially targeting the broadcast and live event environments.

Timo Koch has spent most of his career in the field of outdoor broadcast operations and production facilities. After the NEP Group acquired its own mobile unit operation in Belgium, Koch led the company’s performance at major international sporting events. Later, Koch oversaw the international business of Euro Media Group (EMG), its deployment of a large IP fly-away system and the integration of several business units, including EMG’s renowned RF operation.
