Celebro to develop its new Global Studio project with Quicklink
Le Lien rapide ST500 studio-in-a-box solution will be used by broadcast service provider Celebro Media in its new Global Studio project.
Celebro plans to open 80 television studios worldwide over the next two years. These smaller spaces will complement its much larger, state-of-the-art facilities in London, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles. The rollout has already begun with Miami and New York, and will imminently reach Paris, Brussels and Moscow. In all these locations, Celebro Media has chosen to deploy Quicklink ST500 Studio-in-a-box solution to facilitate contributions to its MCRs in Washington D.C. or London.
Wesley Dodd, CEO of Celebro Studios, explains that the company needed a technology that was technology “reliable and robust enough to be used in a broadcast setting, while also giving us a level of control that meant we wouldn’t necessarily need engineers on-site.” “The Quicklink ST500 ticked all the boxes we needed for a remote contribution solution – enabling us to have an unattended location where guests can attend to provide contributions and have control over the camera, lighting and audio remotely from our MCRs,” says Dodd.
ST500, compact and flexible unit
Quicklink’s ST500 (Studio-in-a-box) is a small footprint solution that incorporates lighting and capture systems. In addition, both cameras, lights and audio can be managed from a Chrome web browser through the Quicklink Manager portal, which favors the remote configuration that Celebro was looking for.
To facilitate the deployment of its new studios, Celebro Media has joined forces with Regus, a company belonging to the IWG group, an organization that offers flexible office space in more than 1,000 cities around the world. Through this partnership, Celebro expects to be able to “easily” set up studios or offices in locations where a news event, such as a sporting event or an election, is taking place.
