RTVE joins forces with the National Digital Content Pole of Malaga to promote audiovisual training
The new agreement signed between RTVE Institute and the National Digital Content Pole (Málaga City Council) will allow its associated people and affiliated entities to enjoy benefits in the training programs of the beam project in the audiovisual sector.
The presentation took place during the Global Game Jam, an international meeting of 450 developers to create a video game in 48 hours, organized by the non-profit association MálagaJam and the Málaga City Council. In this framework, Mireia Pi, responsible for the Haz project, and Alicia Izquierdo, councilor for innovation, urban digitalization, promotion of technological and business investment, and attracting investments from the Malaga City Council, have made this collaboration official, which allows access to RTVE Institute online courses with discounts of up to 100% for members of this entity on matters related to the audiovisual sector. These training courses, taught by active sector professionals, are practical, tutored and focus on employability.
Mireia Pi recalled at the event that RTVE Instituto has a track record of more than 50 years, enriched by the collaboration with public institutions: "This agreement symbolizes the importance of collaborating with all agents in the sector, it is not just a strategic agreement. There is a need for talent, entrepreneurs and people who want to advance in the development of projects in the audiovisual sector." For her part, Alicia Izquierdo has encouraged the future students to continue training through this union.
The person responsible for institutional relations for the Haz project also participated, Sonsoles Miranda, who explained that the RTVE Institute training linked to said project, and that favors this agreement, are carried out in small groups and include 100% online courses. This training is aimed at both active professionals who need to develop a specific skill for work reasons such as interested people to deepen their knowledge, always with the aim that “the students put themselves in the shoes of the professional.”
The event concluded with a talk on animation, 3D and video games given by the president of the video game developers association (MálagaJam), Lucia Herrero, who has explained the importance of raising awareness about mental health in video games and the need for inclusion in them.
