ReveLux acquires D3, the LED display business of Ross Video
After acquiring D3, a Californian manufacturer of LED display, processing, content management and playback systems, in September 2021, Ross Video has decided to sell the brand to ReveLux, with which the Canadian company will iniciate a deep strategic alliance.
Ross Video and ReveLux Group will enter hand-in-hand into a “strategic transition” designed to enhance service, technology and innovation in the LED display industry. The agreement covers ReveLux Group’s acquisition of Ross Video’s D3 LED technology portfolio, including D3 product patents and other intellectual property (IP), as well as the service team, which will now operate as D3 LED under the ReveLux Group umbrella.
As part of this strategic transition, existing D3 customers will continue to receive uninterrupted support. In addition, Ross Video and ReveLux Group have announced their intention to collaborate to shape opportunities to integrate broadcast and display technologies across all verticals. In this regard, Meric Adriansen, former VP of LED at Ross Video and one of the founders of D3, will join the ReveLux Group as CTO to lead R&D efforts.
Jeff Moore, executive vice president and CMO of Ross Video, explains the decision: “The transfer of Ross Video’s D3 technology to ReveLux Group reflects our shared vision for pushing the boundaries of display technology. We are confident that our valued customers will remain in good hands with ReveLux Group as they maintain the same exceptional team and expertise.”
From ReveLux’s perspective, Chad Rose, CEO, highlights the importance of this next chapter: “ReveLux Group is proud to build upon D3’s rich history by driving innovation and delivering unparalleled customer service. We are excited to continue the team’s groundbreaking work and committed to providing best-in-class display solutions for both longstanding and future clients.”
