Sobatech relies on reruns of SimplyLive's RiMotion 12 (Riedel) for the production of 3Cat's musical show 'Zenit'

The RiMotion 12 replay system, part of the SimplyLive live production suite from Riedel, has been used by the technology and video provider Sobatech in the realization of 'Zenit', the great musical format of the season of 3Cat.

Produced by Lavinia Group from the Terrassa Audiovisual Park, Zenith It brings together 24 professional singers to perform weekly musical hits with great staging and elements of humor and entertainment. "Our relationship with Riedel began with the use of MicroN frames for a multitude of different applications, which served as a gateway to an in-depth understanding of all the solutions offered by their portfolio. All these experiences with Riedel, with special mention of the Bolero intercom system, helped us make the decision to invest in RiMotion12 for our mobile units. It was a risky decision at the time, since in Spain there were not yet many companies that used it in their day-to-day work, but we are convinced that it will become a standard in television production," he explains.

The Sobatech team has squeezed the solution for the production of Zenith, providing important benefits in its use, such as its versatility, easy configuration of inputs and outputs and, most importantly for Soler, "the ease with which operators learn how to use RiMotion”. The Sobatech team uses this tool in its R12 version, which allows you to manage up to 12 channels at 1080p 8bit offering capabilities of slowmotion, including camera support for Super slow-motion (SSM), being manageable through a Intuitive control panel or touch interface system. The system, ready to be managed by one or two operators, is compatible with SDI, NDI, TS UDP, TS RTP, RTMP (Input) or SRT and it has a redundant power supply to ensure that the images are available to the filmmakers at every moment of production.

"In addition, RiMotion 12 has great potential for REMI productions thanks to the ability to ingest natively IP video streams in different formats," specifies the head of Sobatech, satisfied to have opted for a solution that, he points out, could be a new market standard: "Until today, we have not needed support from the manufacturer. Only the initial training at the time of delivery of the system was enough to put the system into production. That says a lot in RiMotion's favor”.
