Brainstorm to highlight Suite 6.1 and Unreal Engine 5.4 integration at IBC 2024
Brainstorm’s suite of solutions returns to IBC 2024 with a new version 6.1 aimed at improving the quality of virtual content creation.
Suite 6.1 features tight integration with Unreal Engine 5.4. Users of Brainstorm solutions will be able to control UE5 from within the InfinitySet interface, enhancing their ability to manage, edit and control UE planes, objects and properties. In addition, the combination of Unreal Engine rendering with the eStudio rendering engine itself is fully transparent, so that the user can effectively decide which objects or parts of the scene should be rendered in which engine.
This capability is enhanced by an improved version of the Unreal Compositor, a tool that simplifies the integration of real video sources (such as embedded characters) into an Unreal Engine scene. The compositor combines the features of Unreal Engine with Brainstorm’s unique TrackFree capabilities, multiplying the possibilities of each engine.
Visitors to IBC 2024 will also be able to see first-hand the ability of Suite 6.1 to deliver high-performance virtual production capabilities using a single workstation equipped with the new Nvidia RTX 6000 Ada Generation GPU. For Brainstorm, this optimisation reflects its commitment to sustainability, as the reduction in hardware requirements helps its customers reduce their carbon footprint, energy consumption and overall costs.
Additionally, Brainstorm has confirmed InfinitySet’s new support for Dual-GPU workstations, allowing rendering tasks to be distributed between two GPUs. This enhancement improves rendering quality and performance, especially in XR environments, reducing hardware costs and simplifying workflows. Features such as XR Config and CalibMate streamline configuration and calibration processes with mathematical accuracy, minimising human error.
Aston at IBC 2024: Optimising collaborative processes
During IBC 2024, Aston will also receive several new features that enhance the capabilities of this graphics solution for collaborative workflows. These include the new Graphic Instances feature, designed to simplify the design process by providing better control for lead designers, as they can not only create pieces and concepts that the rest of the team then uses to produce all the necessary versions, but also ensure that essential looks and updates can be applied directly, without the intervention of the rest of the team.
In addition, Aston’s StormLogic receives new transitions and interactions between templates that ‘greatly enhance’ the visual impact of the graphics output, as well as a set of tools for creating interactive projects that can be used with a touchscreen. These tools allow the creation of specific buttons to trigger actions and support multi-touch gestures.
Miguel Churruca, Brainstorm’s marketing and communication director, highlights the value of Suite 6.1, key to the growth and consolidation of the brand in the local and international market: “The new Suite 6.1 represents a major leap forward for the Brainstorm product range. It not only refines an already sought-after lineup of broadcast, film, and corporate solutions but also integrates features that users have been requesting in their quest to create more advanced, engaging, and spectacular virtual content.”
