Noa digitizes 260,000 audio assets of Radio Kuwait
Radio Kuwait you have decided to trust Noa to undertake digitization and archiving project covering more than 260,000 audio assets dating back to the 1950s.
The Kuwait National Radio Ministry of Information has awarded the contract for its "Radio Archive Project" to AlRashed Group, which has chosen Noa to undertake the digitization of all the assets of the Stations, as well as creating backups for disaster recovery. Key to the project, which will be extended over the next few years seven years, is the integration of a complete file management system mediARC of Noa In the current playout Dalet of Kuwait Radio. At the same time, the entire radio archive of the organization will be digitized using ingestLINE of Noa.
The first year of the project will focus on the Delivery and commissioning, followed by a period from three to four years during which the entire file will be digitized. All modules of the structure will support the storage system, with a total of four copies. The final objective, according to Nidal Fawaz, director of the technological solutions division of the AlRashed Group, will be digitizing some 260,000 supports archival audio dating back to the 1980s 1950, taking special care of "the quality control, inventory, and metadata enrichment”.

This ambitious project is the first of its kind in Kuwait, and adds to the important challenges of Noa for the audiovisual archive in Abu Dhabi Media Corp. and Sharjah Broadcasting Authority in the region.
