Starlink 2.3 million unique users

SpaceX, company that owns the microsatellite-based connectivity system Starlink, has confirmed that the company has reached 2.3 million unique users, 300,000 more than in the data published in September.

Company details Elon Musk represent the consolidation of the microsatellite proposal, which benefits from low orbit satellites to provide Internet of high speed in remote areas where there is little or no land infrastructure. Considering that the average monthly cost is 80 dollars, the analyst Walter Boomberg affirms that the company could be having income annually of 2.2 billion dollars. Initially launched in May 2019, Starlink is available in more than 70 countries, with Paraguay being the last to join the list.

SpaceX's satellite broadband system increased its transmission capacity in the middle of the year manufacturing of satellite dishes at more than 150,000 units per month, giving access with its new fleet to a coverage that would reach between 5 and 10 million subscribers. These antennas give access to the second generation Starlink satellites, which have been designed to eliminate possible bottlenecks and be able to serve up to 30 million customers. If the company maintains its current growth rate, with an average increase of 300,000 users per quarter, it could end 2024 with 3.5 million users.

In the broadcast field, Starlink adds use cases as the weeks go by. Recently, it has been used in productions of TBS, of France Televisions, CCMA o kmfm, among many others.
