‘Informe Semanal’ will deposit its legacy in the Caja de las Letras of the Cervantes Institute
The Box of Letters Cervantes Institute, a vault where great figures of Hispanic culture have left objects related to science, arts and letters, opens its doors to celebrate the 50th anniversary of 'Informe Semanal' (RTVE).
On Monday November 27, the Letter Box will be opened so that members of the current team of Weekly report and some faces from the first decades leave a legacy for history on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the program.
The event will be presented by Luis García Montero, director of the Cervantes Institute. García will be accompanied by Elena Sánchez Caballero, interim president of RTVE; Jose Carlos Gallardo, program director since 2022; Carmen Sarmiento and Elena Martí, the first women journalists on the first team of Pedro Erquicia, creator of the program; Raul Alda, director for a decade; Baltasar Magro, director in various stages; Mari Carmen García Vela, presenter and one of the most remembered faces of the early days; Rosa Maria Calaf, one of its best-known reporters, and Ana Blanco, current presenter. After this series of initial interventions, the round table will be held Weekly report. 50 years of journalistic reference, in which Mari Carmen García Vela, Baltasar Magro, Raúl Alda and Rosa María Calaf will dialogue, moderated by Ana Blanco.
The deposit of Weekly report It will be the second media legacy that the Letter Box, after which he deposited the Vocento Group last October. This initiative is the cherry on top of a year in which the five decades of life of Weekly report with recognitions such as National Television Award 2023 and the Ondas Award for Best Current Affairs Program.
