The Sant Cugat studios will host the recordings of 'Make up stars' this summer, a makeup reality show that will be seen on RTVE Play and produces its own RTVE With MegaTV.
Make up stars, presented by Pilar Rubio, seeks to merge the world of large-format television and its “way of portraying beauty,” and that of new makeup professionals and its influence from TikTok and social networks. The contest aims to discover the 360º makeup artists of the future, talents that will become references in makeup and beauty, highlighting the importance of makeup as a form of artistic expression and “always enhancing the talent of the participants.”
Each of the six episodes of Make up Stars from RTVE Play will be dedicated to a specific facet of makeup (beauty, body painting, future, drag queen...) and will challenge participants to demonstrate their creativity and skills in different styles and techniques. “Viewers will be able to witness amazing transformations and learn about the latest trends in makeup alongside the jury and a relevant celebrity who adds his knowledge and experience to the theme of the contest,” RTVE itself has highlighted. At the end of the season, the most versatile contender will win the Crystal Brush, along with training in makeup and collaboration in the filming of a large production.
Next to Rubio, two prominent figures from the makeup industry are part of the program team who will be permanent jurors during the six chapters of which it will be composed Make up stars: David Molina, makeup artist internationally recognized for his collaborations with Dior, Versace or Givenchy among many other brands, and Camila Redondo, designer and influencer, who is one of the most influential voices in the world of online beauty and makeup.
