Tesseo and Onza will produce a fiction series about Rocío Jurado and Pedro Carrasco
Tesseo Productions y Onza have acquired the life rights of Rocío Jurado and Pedro Carrasco to develop, in collaboration with their daughter, Rocío Carrasco, a fiction series based on their lives.
Martha Manzano, CEO, and Joanna Carrion, director of Business Development and R&D, at Tesseo, together with Gonzalo Sagerdia, CEO of Onza, will attend Conecta Fiction in Toledo next week with the aim of publicizing the project and adding streaming platforms and television channels interested in its transmission.
Likewise, both production companies will take advantage of their presence in the Latin American and US Hispanic markets to look for partners in a region where Rocío Jurado is very popular due to her successful professional career.
Tesseo Producciones was founded in 2009 by Marta Manzano and, among other formats, has produced Blood ties, which has been consolidated with more than sixty deliveries, The music of my life, Move at home o Elite athletes.
As for Onza, founded in 2014 by José María Irisarri, Gonzalo Sagardía and Nicolás Bergareche, its first series, The Ministry of Time, soon became a reference in Spanish television fiction. After years of activity in Spain in which it has implemented a new and solid co-production model with creative talent, the company founded its subsidiary at the beginning of 2021. Ounce Americas, aimed at the Latin American and Hispanic market in the United States, and the first step in its international expansion.
