The recording and production studio based in Orellana la Vieja (Badajoz), Studies Viewer, acquires CSS Audiovisual Technology a high-end AX64 converter from the company DAD (Digital Audio Denmark) with a 24 AD and 24 DA configuration.

Powered by Antonio CabanillasVisor Estudios began its journey in 2017 and has facilities in a building of more than 300 m², where in the future a recording room will also be set up for acoustic projects.

The control room and mastering area are located in a 40m² room. This room geometry has an acoustic project custom designed by the company Audio Acoustics from Barcelona.

The studio equipment includes a SSL analog console AWS 924, System of PMC and Genelec monitoring, three Bantam Signex patch units and a set of outboard equipment including the new DAD AX64, a high-end multi-format digital matrix audio converter that supports multiple different configurations and includes the (optional) possibility of having high-quality microphone preamplifiers integrated into circuitry.

One of the main characteristics of DAD AX64 converter is the very high quality of its converters and mic preamps, as well as the precision of its master clock. The converters offer a dynamic range of 123dB in A/D and 128dB in D/A. The optional mic preamps are very high quality and “transparent” type (Millennia style) and offer 85dB gain.

AX64 incorporates digital inputs and outputs as standard in the formats: MADI (64 channels), Dante (256 channels) and ADAT/Litepipe (16 channels), and has 8 PCIe expansion slots on the board, to house I/O cards. analog or digital and also SPQ processing, as well as a slot for a dual MADI mini-module. By installing 8 analog cards you can provide up to 64 audio channels (counting inputs and outputs). AX64 also incorporates SPQ processing natively and offers access to 1024 filters distributed over 64 channels with 16 filters each, with adjustable delay.

Visor Studios offers production, mixing and mastering services, and its owner, Antonio Cabanillas, who is one of the most significant representatives of techno in Extremadura and who has more than twenty years of experience in this field, has a new project in mind to enable an Atmos 7.1.4 mixing room.
