Bambú prepares a fiction series about 'The Asunta case' for Netflix
'The Asunta Case', a new fiction miniseries about the murder of Asunta Basterra, one of the black chronicle cases that most shocked Spain in 2013, will begin filming soon in Galicia with the help of Bamboo Productions y Netflix.
Candela Peña and Tristán Ulloa will play Rosario Porto and Alfonso Basterra, Asunta's parents.
Ramón Campos, executive producer of the project who was also in charge of the docuseries about the case, comments that “at Bambú Producciones we are looking forward to this new fiction project together with Netflix. During the research process for the documentary we collected a lot of material that we were not able to finally include and that will be in the series. Furthermore, I am happy to meet Tristán Ulloa again after 'Fariña' and to welcome Candela Peña to Bambú, whose work I have been a fan of for many years.''
Since its birth in 2008, Bambú has positioned itself in international markets as a leading European production company thanks to titles such as Gran Hotel, Velvet, Fariña, The Cable Girls o Nacho. In addition to television series, Bambú also produces documentaries (El Caso Alcasser, El Caso Asunta, 800 meters) and cinema (Malasaña 32, One Year One Night).
