Disguise and Xplor develop the first Virtual Production Accelerator in the United Kingdom
To continue addressing the skills gap in virtual production, disguise y Xplor launch the UK's first Virtual Production Accelerator, a learning program that offers students hands-on experience with the latest real-time technologies and advanced LED volumes.
The program, which will be taught in the recently inaugurated Xplor Production ParkThe £7m+ studio in West Yorkshire – featuring a 3,500 sq ft virtual production space and an xR studio with ROE Visual LED screens – is aimed at students and industry professionals alike.
Over four days, participants will hone their knowledge of volume control operations, virtual art department integration and practical filming elements through a combination of online, classroom and on-set learning.
Xplor training is carried out by Backstage Academy, a company specialized in the production of live experiences, which supports the future of the industry through undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and short courses. Its facilities, located in Production Park, are just one of the more than 400 virtual production studios and xR scenarios latest generation that works with disguise solutions Worldwide. The rapid adoption of disguise's advanced production technologies requires qualified personnel who are well versed in the unique workflows of virtual production and in-camera visual effects.

However, this growth in adoption has left a huge skills gap. disguise, like XPLOR and Backstage Academy, shares a strong passion for education. “After launching our Virtual Production Accelerator Program in the Americas last year in collaboration with ROE Visual, we now look forward to bringing the practical approach of the Accelerator to the Production Park for VP enthusiasts in the UK and Europe.”
