Investment in the broadcast and audiovisual sectors resurges in 2022
ATG Danmon, a broadcast systems integrator with an international presence, has identified a resurgence of investment in the broadcast, AV and education sectors throughout 2022.
Significant trends experienced during 2022 by ATG Danmon include the accelerated adoption of IP and an industry-wide transition from HD-SDR to UHD-HDR as the preferred mastering format for new content. Demand for virtual studio technology continues to increase, fuelled by state-of-the-art studio robotics and graphics rendering systems. Similarly, IT/IP solutions are increasingly in demand for their ability to support any style and size of workflow.
All these trends have materialised in a number of important projects led by integrator ATG Danmon. These include upgrading a multi-camera studio and control room to full UHD capture, routing, recording, monitoring and archiving for That Lot; upgrading a UHD studio for one of the “world’s busiest” financial management services; and upgrading the studio control room at ITN’s London headquarters, which can be upgraded from HD to UHD and from SDR to HDR when required.
Other notable projects conducted by the integrator include a large-scale university multimedia systems integration project to support a wide range of TV and film content creation and post-production courses, as well as the design and integration of an audio-based broadcast system located in the clock tower adjacent to one of Europe’s oldest national legislatures.
