Absen, together with Brompton, ARRI and Stype, is committed to virtual production with LED backgrounds
A virtual study of Roll call at IBC 2022 allowed visitors to interact, in real time, with the production set developed together with Brompton Technology (LED video processing), ARRI (cinema equipment) and Support (camera tracking technology).
Absen's latest innovations formed the building blocks of the film set, which consisted of the MicroLED Clear Cobalt 0.9mm (part of the Clear Cobalt series) featuring black coating and calibration technology, the MiniLED AX1.5 (part of the Aries series) and the serie MR of floor LED panels (MR2.5 and MR4.8) for virtual production scenarios.
Jess Golding, European brand and marketing director at Absen, acknowledges that “it was a pleasure to return to IBC, promoting our latest technology in the broadcast and film industry. The Absen team has been able to meet with current clients and some new ones that might be interesting: we can't wait to get started on the many projects that have been discussed during the show!”
IBC awarded the LED manufacturer with the “best mid-sized stand design”. “We are delighted to have won an award for our stand. The importance of virtual LED studios is only going to increase in the future, which is why Absen is constantly evolving and progressing with the technology in this area. We are looking forward to returning to IBC, bigger and better for 2023,” concludes Golding.
