Koko, the first fruit of the union of Ovide and Convergent Design, will be at IBC 2022

Convergent Design (creators of the Apollo and Odyssey monitors) and Ovid have reached a purchase agreement, which means that Ovide will create monitor-recorders based on its experience as a manufacturer. The first of these solutions will be presented at IBC 2022: Ovide Koko.

Ovide Cockroach it's a monitor-grabador 4K HDR with functions of video assist specifically designed for digital film shoots that allows you to work with cameras like Arri, Sony, Red y Canon. This system has been developed entirely in the department of Ovide R&D, like the rest of the firm's systems.

This solution follows the “all-in-one” philosophy and is equipped with a 10” HDR DCI-P3 touch screen, recording on SSD disks, 6 12G-SDI inputs/outputs, USB-C connection, audio input/output and Ethernet connection. Furthermore, in this case no additional software needed to perform video assistance functions and adds utilities such as automatic capture metadata, clip database, histogram, waveform, focus assist, zebra, false color…

Ovide Cockroach, designed to be used as the only independent video assistance system or to integrate directly with Ovide and QTAKE, allows recording four cameras on removable SSD drives and is powered by a mount camera battery V (IDX), Gold (Anton Bauer) o B (Bebob).

Ovide will present Koko in the next edition of IBC Show 2022 in September, together with the recently presented 6th generation of the Ovide Smart Assist, the new series M-100.
