WorldCast will present the new Ecreso FM 1kW transmitter at IBC 2022
IBC 2022 will host the launch of the new Ecreso FM 1kW (AiO series), a WorldCast Systems that seeks to offer the “greatest efficiency on the market.”
With the rising price of electricity and growing concern for the environment, Ecreso FM 1kW seeks to offer reliable performance that also contributes to energy savings and the decarbonization of FM transmission. As pointed out WorldCast Systems, thanks to the new Ecreso FM 1kW series AiO, broadcasters will be able to benefit from an efficiency of up to 76% (AC to RF). Furthermore, if it is decided to activate the patented technology SmartFM, companies will be able to reduce their energy consumption even further: “up to 40%”.
A particularity of the Ecreso range from WorldCast, which will arrive in a few weeks at IBC 2022, is he level of built-in software functions, since they allow “more fluid operation with less separate equipment.” These include a 5-band sound processor, a stereo encoder, and full new RDS and UECP capabilities.
However, the greatest innovation of the AiO series is the union of Ecreso technology with the family of codecs APT, which implies that the broadcasters will be able to benefit from an integrated APT IP decoder. This unique software feature directly feeds audio over IP into the direct-to-channel digital FM modulator and supports SureStream y APTmpX, the incomparable MPX compression algorithm. Its use, according to WorldCast, will provide great added value to broadcasters seeking to modernize their network with a transition to a fully IP broadcast network.
An efficient and robust design
The new Ecreso FM 1kW, which can be seen at IBC 2022, features a planar design, a next-generation interchangeable power supply and a removable fan from the front panel. These additions make the WorldCast solution robusta y “easy to maintain”. Likewise, for remote configuration, Ecreso FM 1kW includes a web and mobile graphical user interface easy to handle, soporte SNMP y cloud monitoring with Kybio, another complementary software for WorldCast.
David Houze, product manager at Ecreso in WorldCast Systems, shares his vision about the company's imminent launch in IBC 2022: “Our mission is to provide our clients with the most advanced solutions that reduce their operating costs while supporting them to offer the best FM service to their listeners. “With the new AiO series, we have passed an important milestone in achieving the lowest total cost of ownership in FM broadcasting.” “Like all of our Ecreso transmitters, the new AiO series is backed by a 10-year warranty,” adds Houze.
