EVS will show developments like LiveCeption for the first time at IBC 2022
LiveCeption, MediaCeption, MediaInfra and MediaHub will be the axes around which the presence of EVS in IBC 2022 (September 9-12)
El stand A25 of the pavilion 10 of the RAI Amsterdam will be the location from where EVS will demonstrate how its latest solutions enable repetitions “creative and efficient”, speed up the media creation process and allow build robust and flexible media infrastructures in “any” production environment. It will be the first time that the firm exhibits in IBC its expanded product portfolio, since the fair was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.
Among the most notable solutions that will be exhibited at the RAI is MediaCeption, a tool for live production asset management from start to finish, allowing users to perform “all” the different functions of the media workflow in live or near-live productions. Built on a modular and open architecture platform, the solution provides advanced interoperability for playout infrastructures, currently integrating with more than 30 certified technology partners to create seamless workflows from ingest to playout. Several of these integrations will be exposed, including with editing suites like Adobe, Avid y Blackbird Video.
Other updates to the solution include the ingestion of additional video formats such as UHD XAVC Long GOP and video streams SRT when operating with software defined server XS-NEO.
MediaHub the EVS and IBC 2022
At the EVS stand it will also present the latest news from MediaHub, a platform content distribution and sharing service based on the cloud which allows the production teams of rights holders Explore, crop, select and deliver content from multiple camera angles and from multiple locations, using the Platform web-based user interface.
Recently deployed in several international sporting events, and available in an offer SaaS, this solution is designed to support content owners in the virtualization of the physical infrastructure of an IBC and the monetization of their content, preserving the “quality, reliability and ease of use” of on-site implementations.
At the same time, MediaHub “ensures” that content takers and rights holders are more effective and efficient in their remote production workflows, enabling professional remote editing or the application of XtraMotion from a web browser.
MediaInfra en IBC 2022
MediaInfra, the latest pillar of solutions offered by EVS, will capture many eyes at the EVS booth. Routing Solution Demonstrations IP/SDI key on hand MediaInfra Strada will show how production teams can perform critical routing and control operations in any environment. Built on IP and taking advantage of the product lines Cerebrum y Neuron from EVS, MediaInfra Strada offers a path progressive and safe toward IP con continued SDI support.
Other products on display from MediaInfra's portfolio are Neuron Compress, which offers JPEG XS compression in real time (now also in UHD with -7 and Class A/B/C/D support, making it suitable for long distance applications), as well as the award-winning Neuron Protect, which provides intelligent backup switching for fully redundant broadcast infrastructures.
The latest version of the emissions control and monitoring system Cerebrum (Brain 2.3) introduce the license IP Core SDN, which brings greater visibility and control to today's increasingly complex IP production infrastructures. Visitors will be able to see the power of this solution in action, as it will control the entire media infrastructure present at the EVS stand. In parallel, EVS will show different ways to control a Cerebrum system through web interfaces, the touch screen of the replay system LSM-VIA, as well as through a third-party system of Riedel that takes advantage IS-07.
LiveCeption will debut an IBC 2022
It will be the first time that the IBC attendees can experience first-hand the new user experience it offers LSM-VIA, the core of EVS' LiveCeption solution for efficient live productions, replays and recaps. The latest updates to EVS' next-generation replay system, including audio support, will be showcased at RAI Amsterdam. ST2110-31 (Dolby/AC3) and new I/O configurations that allow different super slow motion speeds in the same configuration.
Recent improvements to the media sharing network XNet-VIA and innovative preplays will also be part of the demos, including the multi-angle review as part of LSM-VIA, which allows operators to review multiple angles at the same time to create summaries more quickly.
Taking replays to another level, the new super slow motion service XtraMotion Much of the focus will be on the booth, where demonstrations will show how the on-demand service can transform footage from any camera into super-slow-motion replays using the power of AI and the cloud.
EVS and balanced computing
Solutions like XtraMotion provide a tangible example to illustrate the “balanced computing" of EVS, which involves deploying the right combinations of hardware and software and dynamically managing their deployment across on-premises, cloud, and edge environments. This approach provides greater efficiency and operational flexibility, while meeting customer needs for speed, security and cost.
First introduced at NAB 2022, EVS will further promote this “balanced computing” approach by showing additional use cases from which customers can benefit, including the possibility of increasing the ingestion channel capacity using the cloud.
