LFP revolutionises its digital strategy with Dalet Flex
Dalet Flex arrives to the LFP (Ligue de Football Professionnel) to offer a wide range of solutions to the competition.
As dictated by its statutes, the LFP is responsible for managing the weekly videos of the more than 100 matches played by its clubs. To tackle this task in a more agile way, the French competition has relied on Dalet Flex, a solution that allows them to automate all the processes of ingesting, preparing and publishing the videos of the most important matches on YouTube and Dailymotion. Olivier Imbert, LFP Information Director, explains why the organisation opted for the Dalet tool: “We needed a solution that would transform our content management approach. Dalet Flex automates the ingest and publishing process so our team can refocus their time on assessing fan consumption patterns and developing new content revenue opportunities. In just a few months, Dalet Flex has become a tool the entire team here at LFP has embraced.”
In addition to managing the sheer volume of video content, the LFP has to adhere to a busy publishing schedule. Matches take place from Friday to Sunday nights and the rights holders broadcast the content live or near-live over the weekend. On Monday, content rights revert back to the LFP, at which point the organisation uses Dalet Flex to quickly publish match highlights. Dalet Flex simplifies this delivery, ensuring that playlist information and metadata, including XML mapping to asset metadata, is “accurate and consistent”. This streamlines the process of preparing and distributing content with LFP digital properties, ensuring that fans can view match highlights on any device. Beyond these features, Dalet hosts and manages the LFP environment in the cloud, reducing upfront investments and overall maintenance costs; and helps the league gain valuable insights into fan engagement and video consumption patterns.
Massoud Razzani, Sales Account Manager at Dalet, explains the main challenges faced by organisations such as the French LFP and highlights the value of the Flex solution: “They were facing gaps in workflow management, process automation, and integration between tools, making it extremely challenging, resource-intensive and expensive to deliver the massive amounts of content fans have come to expect. Dalet Flex provides the integration and automation capabilities LFP required to be successful at a competitive price point. The user-friendly environment enabled LFP personnel, many of whom do not have a technical background, to adapt to the new tools and workflow quickly.”
