TV5 Monde: global reach via streaming with VOS 360 from Harmonic

The VOS 360 cloud streaming platform Harmonic is allowing French television TV5 World be present on screens around the world.

TV5 World has opted for the streaming solution Harmonic, as transferred Sébastien Bogaert, NOC and director of television distribution, for “his extensive experience” in streaming and his “numerous successful implementations” in the cloud worldwide. “Harmonic's cloud streaming solution provides us with unprecedented efficiency and flexibility, which is essential for us to reach millions of viewers around the world,” he notes.

VOS360 from Harmonic is a ready solution to optimize all the stages of the media processing and delivery chain. For example, its compatibility with the subtitling standard DVB-TTML (ETSI EN 303 560) allows TV5Monde to broadcast its channels in 14 different languages, while ensuring the highest level of subtitling interoperability for Latin and non-Latin alphabets, including French, French for the deaf and hard of hearing, English, Arabic, Russian, German, Dutch, Romanian, Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. In addition to broadcasting directly to consumers, the VOS360 platform also distributes TV5 Monde content to its affiliates around the world.
