Telestream Vantage now supports Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision
The Vantage media processing platform by Telestream now supports Dolby Atmos immersive audio and Dolby Vision HDR technology.
Thanks to Telestream’s latest system upgrade, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos content will be accessible through leading streaming and broadcast service providers that take advantage of Vantage.
Dolby Vision seeks to transform the viewing experience. The HDR technology in this standard boasts of delivering “up to 40 times brighter” highlights and “10 times darker” blacks. Telestream’s platform will be able to handle content in this format, ensuring that the creative intentions of the production phase reach viewers intact. Vantage also becomes compatible with Dolby Atmos, an immersive audio technology that is progressing by leaps and bounds in the field of streaming platforms, video games, sports broadcasts and music streaming. According to Telestream, Vantage’s support for this standard will give content creators and distributors the ability to automate the creation, processing and delivery of media assets that are available in this powerful audio technology.
Scott Matics, director of product management at Telestream, stresses that “by adding Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos to our list of supported solutions in Vantage, customers can automate the processing of these powerful technologies in their delivery and distribution workflows.”
On the other hand, Jean-Christophe Morizur, senior director of pro products and solutions at Dolby, highlights the value of Telestream’s development: “The need for automated and efficient tools that enable the delivery of Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos is critical for content providers, streaming services, and broadcasters alike. Through Vantage, we are providing our partners another great solution to deliver their content to customers quickly and efficiently, while ensuring that content looks and sounds its best.”
