Leader Launches LVB440 High-Bitrate IP Packet Monitor
Expanding Leader's product portfolio, the LVB440 simplifies QoS monitoring and analysis of high-bitrate IP media traffic.
Leader Electronics incorporates into its range of video and audio test equipment the IP analyzer LVB440 enables efficient analysis of SD, HD, HDR, 4K, and 4K HDR data stream across media networks of any size.
Designed to monitor and analyze high-bitrate average traffic in broadcast production studios, mobile units, main control facilities, and transmission networks, the analyzer supports data rates of 10, 25, 40, and 50 gigabit/s, ranging from Up to 100 gigabit/s through dual interfaces. The core processor is more than capable of handling the 48 gigabit/s data rate required for full-bandwidth 8K sources.
Housed in a compact 1U chassis, the LVB440 controlled via an HTML-5 web browser and provides full support for up to eight local or remote users. It gives production teams the resources to perform real-time checks of a large number of flows and multiple resolutions in parallel across multiple locations. Operators gain the ability to simultaneously examine all media transport layers of an IP network, allowing issues to be rectified before they affect the quality of service experienced by program viewers.
When connected to primary and secondary networks, the LVB440 can monitor and analyze redundancy within the standard SMTPE ST 2022-7, which is used to ensure seamless protection switching. Tools are also provided for Precision Time Protocol clock analysis, including clock source detection, synchronization accuracy, and individual flow path latency. SMPTE ST 2110, ST 2022-6, and ST 2059-2 PTP standards are also supported, as well as open networked media specifications.
Intuitive analytics
Intuitive packet visualization analyses, including correlation of single or multiple streams, allow operators to Identify errors quickly and easily. Media metadata and deep packet analysis can be visualized. Traditional colorimetry measurement tools are also provided, including a vectorscope with ITU Rec. 601, 709, and 2020 support to check for chroma saturation issues that can arise in standard and HDR mixed environments.
A flow view feature allows you to unite any data or signal stream in a network into a single display configuration that includes video, audio, and ancillary data. This combination can be stored as a preset for later retrievalUp to eight pairs of stereo audio channels can be measured and monitored. It supports the AES67 standard for audio-over-IP and audio-over-Ethernet interoperability.
Included as standard with the LVB440 Leader is the video monitor Widglets API HTML5 which allows the LVB440 to be deployed for wider applications. Waveforms from multiple cameras can be monitored through a single view of the HTML5 video monitor. The resulting data can be shared by cooperating production team members across multiple locations.
Available as an option, the Instrument View Engine allows the user's 11-inch Apple iPad Pro mobile workstation to unfold as a color-accurate touchpad. The kit provides advanced analytics, making it easy to use the LVB440 in any production environment.
