Mirada promotes one of the most relevant Android TV deployments in the Mexican operator Izzi

Mirada's TV input service API allows this to be the first launch of Android TV for an operator using hybrid DVB/OTT set-top boxes.

Thanks to the close collaboration between Google y Look, the Mexican operator Izzy has launched one of the most relevant Android TV deployments globally.

This launch adds the Android TV set-top box to Izzi's pay TV services (available in Linux set-top boxes, mobile phones, tablets and computers), while maintaining the current identity of the Izzi service and the unified management of the ecosystem.

The implementation of Mirada's Iris solution, instead of Google's generic user interface, not only allows preserve identity of the Izzi brand and subscribers' viewing experience, but also enriches the experience Android TV when adding the premium features of Mirada Iris technology.

Android TV set-top boxes integrated with Mirada software will be marketed by izzi as a new premium product under the izzitv smart brand.

Through the Mirada custom launcher to Android TV Operator Tier, izzi subscribers will be able to enjoy live and on-demand content with all the advanced features of Iris, in addition to benefiting from the advantages that the Android environment brings, such as access to the Google Play Store, applications such as Netflix or YouTube, and the built-in Chromecast. For this project, Mirada has worked with Google for integration with Android TV, with Verimatrix for conditional access, and with manufacturers of new premium set-top boxes, including Skyworth and ZTE.

Mirada thus becomes the only known software provider to successfully integrate Android TV for all major video streaming technologies.
