Aragón Radio has relied on the proximity, equipment, technical solutions and experience accumulated in AEQ, a Spanish manufacturer with which Aragón Radio maintains a close technical exchange.
In the house of the main stars of regional communication, a audiocodec portátil Phoenix Alio which, through the ADSL or domestic fiber connection from your own home, acts as a transmitting device, while in the studios, two stationary audiocodecs have been installed Phoenix Venus3 Dante as dual receiving devices, that is, each one serves the connection of two Alio Audiocodecs. This allows you to have a easy two-way IP point-to-point communication between the presenters and the main Radio studio in Zaragoza.
The transmission quality over the IP network is similar to that achieved with the presence of the announcers in the studio.
Los equipment has been preconfigured at the station and they have simply connected each house to the Internet router from where, after starting up, they have automatically called the codec and channel assigned in the central control of the Zaragoza station. From there all the controls of each Alio are managed remotely, not just the communication ones, the levels and tonality of each microphone and the level of each headphone are also remotely regulated.
At first, the controls on the front of the device are locked to avoid errors and all control is remote. As the presenter gets to know his tool, he is given access to use the controls in parallel with the Central Control. If the user observes any difficulty, he presses the “Help” button to draw the attention of the central control operator to check the connection.
“It is grateful to be able to count on this line of work and professional solution that AEQ offers us, and thus, to be able to contribute to the programs remotely from home, enjoying all the information and content during this current situation, and at the same time with the maximum audio quality and security for users,” they say from Aragón Radio.
