LovesTv highlights the potential of HbbTv with the campaign 'Connect to the television of the future'

More than six million televisions now allow access to the free content platform of RTVE, Atresmedia and Mediaset España by simply pressing the blue button on the remote control.

LovesTv has launched the campaign Connect to the television of the future to remind citizens, now that they spend more time at home and television consumption has reached historic figures, the features that you can enjoy for free in their homes through the content platform.

Jointly promoted by RTVE, Atresmedia and Mediaset España, it is now available in more than six million of televisions in our country through the blue button on the remote (+262% compared to June 2019). Thanks to the efforts made by the manufacturers, more than two million televisions have used the LovesTv service in Spain, almost 650,000 use it regularly (+50% compared to June 2019) and the videos viewed per month exceed two and million and a half (+37%).

This proposal of hybrid television supposes a added value to the television offer open that allows the viewer to live a much more complete and interactive experience. Through the services offered by the standard HbbTV (pan-European hybrid television project whose objective is to combine 'broadcast' television broadcasts with 'broadband' broadband services) that allows the visualization of the contents of the last week, the possibility of starting a program from its beginning even if it has already It would have started with linear broadcasting, an improved programming guide and the option to recommend content, among other options.
