The jury found the new AI-based solution to hold promise for budget-conscious live sports producers.

Overcam, the new AI-based camera automation system from EVS, has won the highest award of the IABM for its design and innovation.

The Prize Peter Wayne Golden BaM recognizes the best solution of the year within the media and broadcast technology industry. The 20 winners of the IABM's NAB Show and IBC BaM Awards are automatically shortlisted for the award so Overcam qualified after winning in the finality Create at the IBC Awards 2019.

Overcam is a software solution that allows the Autonomous control of robotic cameras in live sports environments. Uses "smart tracking," which works with the engine VIA Mind AI of EVS, to analyze key game parameters such as players and ball positions in order to direct cameras to frame the scene.
