Filming ends on the comedy 'Six Ordinary Days', by Neus Ballús
Produced by Distinto Films and El Kinògraf, Ballús' third feature film after the successful 'La Plaga' and 'Staff Only', will arrive in cinemas by Filmax.
Today the filming of Six ordinary days, the filmmaker's third feature Neus Ballús after the successful The Plague and the recent Staff Only. The screenplay by Neus Ballús and Margarita Melgar, the pseudonym behind which Montse Ganges and Ana Sanz-Magallón are found.
Produced by Miriam Porté for Different Films and The Kinògraf, Six ordinary days It is a comedy that combines fiction with elements borrowed from reality. All of the characters who participate in the film are non-actors who play themselves. The project was born from the impulse to explore prejudices in human relationships, and it does so in a comedy key.
Six ordinary days tells the story of a week in the life of Valero, Moha and Pep, workers in a small plumbing and electricity company on the outskirts of Barcelona.
The film is made up of Six chapters that narrate the situations that arise when the protagonists face reparation. Each chapter corresponds to a day of their working week and is built around the relationship that is established between the protagonists and the client who has requested their services. Under a layer of humour, lightness and everyday life, the stories offer elements of reflection of greater depth.
The film retains the sensitivity of its author but the tone, the picturesque nature of the characters and her eccentric clients make the proposal an original and funny comedy.
The peculiarity of the project has forced the film to be shot in six alternate weeks to allow the protagonists to Combine filming with his usual job: plumbing. Barcelona and its surroundings were the settings used during the filming.
Six ordinary days is a production of Distinto Films and El Kinògraf. With the impetus of the Master's Degree in Creative Documentary at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. It has the participation of Radio Televisión Española, Televisió de Catalunya and Movistar+ with the support of ICAA and ICEC.
The film will hit theaters in 2020 from Filmax. Beta Cinema will be distributed internationally.
