The Sala Berlanga hosts the delivery of the XI edition of the RNE Short Film Contest

'Basta de mendigar' by Goize Blanco and Ángela Chica, wins the XI RNE Short Film Contest. 'Public Swimming Pool' by Xisco González, Audience Award.

The Sala Berlanga (Andrés Mellado, 53 Madrid) hosts this Tuesday, June 18 (6 p.m.) the awards ceremony of the XI edition of the Short Film Contest RNE, an initiative that has the collaboration of the SGAE Foundation. During the ceremony, a special program of De película will be recorded, which will be broadcast in the early hours of June 21 to 22, and is completed with interviews with winners and jury.

The short film Stop begging by Goize Blanco and Ángela Chica, has been the winner of this XI edition of the contest. A three-and-a-half-minute audiovisual work starring the directors themselves, in which two dancers argue in tears after a failed performance. Stop Begging has been chosen from among 159 proposals.

In second place was Red Yellow Red by Teresa Bellón and César F. Calvillo. For his part, Alejandro Talaverón has achieved third place with Those were different timess.

Audience Award

Public swimming pool by Xisco González, has won the audience award. The short film - starring Gema Escudero and Lydia Aranda - revolves around two friends who share an incredible confidence.

The jury it was made up of José Luis García Pérez, film, theatre and television actor; José Esteban Alenda, film producer and director; Isabel Peña, film and television screenwriter; David Rodríguez, sound technician and member of the board of directors of the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences; Silvia Pérez de Pablo, institutional director of the Audiovisual of the SGAE Foundation; Yolanda Flores, director and presenter of the programme De película on Radio Nacional, and Paloma Zuriaga, director of RNE.

One of the conditions of this contest is that the winner's prize (3,000 euros) is reinvested in a film production to be exhibited the following year.
