Netflix tackles the production of five new Spanish projects
All titles will be available in 190 countries starting in 2020 for Netflix's nearly 140 million subscribers.
Netflix It continues its commitment to Spanish content. Francisco Ramos, Vice President of Original Series, has announced the production of five new Spanish projects that will premiere on Netflix from 2020. All titles will be available in 190 countries for Netflix's nearly 140 million subscribers.
The five new series feature a wide variety of genres and formats that will offer consumers a diverse and interesting range of stories, including a comedy about a superhero that is most earthly in the world. The neighbor, an extraordinary drama in The mess you leave behind, a miniseries with a magnificent female cast in Christmas Days, an adaptation of the bestseller Memoirs of Idhún in anime format and finally Valeria, a drama mixed with touches of comedy with an excellent script.
Francisco Ramos acknowledges that "at Netflix we want to produce local stories with a global appeal and Spain has continuously generated great audiovisual content both nationally and for the rest of the world. With this new selection of projects, all different from each other and with writers of the highest level, new stories will be created that will excite users in all parts of the world."
In addition to these five new productions that are currently in various stages of development, Netflix is also in full production of the new seasons of The Cable Girls, Elite and Money Heist, in addition to the series Hache, High Seas and Criminal, the latter adding even more diversity to the catalog with episodes recorded in German, French and Spanish shot in Netflix's production studio located in Madrid. In terms of cinema, the family animated film Klaus by director Sergio Pablos continues to be produced at the SPA studios in Madrid and titles such as Seventeen and Home they are already in post-production for release in 2019 and 2020 respectively.

The Neighbor
Things are not going too well for Javier. He barely makes ends meet with a precarious job, his T-shirt business with demotivating phrases does not quite succeed and his relationship with Lola has been stumbling for a couple of months. The last thing Javier needed was for an alien to fall on him and pass on his superpowers before he died. Now, Javier is a superhero, and he doesn't do a little better than before. It turns out that superpowers are useless when you're fired from your job or when your girlfriend decides you have to take some time. Luckily there she has José Ramón, her neighbor, who is going to teach her how to use her powers for good and hide her secret identity, especially Lola, who has decided to turn her mediocre career as a journalist around by investigating Titan, the mysterious superhero.

With the intention of giving her marriage a second chance, Raquel, a young literature teacher, accepts a job in the town where her husband grew up. Memories of Idhun
