The Malaga Film Festival announces the 2019 Audiovisual Creation Grants

These grants are aimed at projects for the production of fiction, animation or documentary short films with a maximum duration of 30 minutes and free theme.

The Malaga Film Festival convene the Aid for audiovisual creationl for the sixth consecutive year with the aim of encouraging and energizing audiovisual creation in Malaga. These grants are aimed at projects for the production of fiction, animation or documentary short films with a maximum duration of 30 minutes and free theme. The Submission deadline will end on February 1, 2019.

They will be grants of variable amounts, determined in each case by the technical jury constituted for this purpose, with a maximum amount per selected project of 6,000 euros and a total amount, at most, of 50,000 euros for the 2019 financial year.

Both natural persons, with no age limit, who were born, are resident or study or work in the province of Malaga, as well as companies and professionals in the audiovisual sector whose tax domicile is located in the province of Malaga, may participate in this call. Each participant may submit a maximum of two projects in this call.

The selected projects will be advised by a technical jury (made up of directors, screenwriters, producers and prestigious technicians of Spanish cinema) through a project tutorial aimed at improving and adjusting these proposals to the requirements of the call. In previous editions, those selected have had unbeatable tutors such as Isaki Lacuesta, Rafa Cobos, Gracia Querejeta, Manuel Martín Cuenca, Mariela Besuievsky, Rodrigo Sorogoyen, Santi Amodeo, Xavi Puebla or Javier Ruiz Caldera.

The selected projects will be announced at the Malaga Cinema gala of the 22nd Malaga Film Festival. Cinema in Spanish (from March 15 to 24, 2019).

For the widest dissemination of the works carried out, the audiovisuals resulting from this call will be included in a special section of the programme of the 23rd Malaga Film Festival. Spanish Cinema, which will take place in 2020.
