In addition to the new office in the Asia Pacific region, Riedel announces at IBC the appointment of Jan Eveleens, former CEO of Axon, as Director of Business Development for Video Network Solutions.

Reflecting its growing presence in Asia Pacific, Riedel has announced in this IBC 2018 that will open a new office in Beijing. The China office is the fourth that Riedel has opened in the region, after those in China Australia, Japan and Singapore.

The Beijing office represents an important first step in Riedel's effort to establish a local infrastructure to support a growing Chinese customer base and will enable the company to provide personalized customer service, systems design, business development and sales functions. The Beijing office is located in Chaoyang district and will be directed by Gao Jian.

Cameron O'Neill, Riedel's Head of Asia Pacific, said: "As the Chinese broadcast, production and events markets continue to expand, the time is right for Riedel to have an established presence in China. We are very pleased to open an office in the capital of China and to have a great team of professionals."

On the other hand, Riedel has appointed Jan Eveleens as Business Development Manager for Video Networking Solutions. Reporting directly to the company's CEO and founder, Thomas Riedel, Eveleens will help drive the video and IP networking business in the German company, supporting product management, sales and marketing. It will focus especially on the Expanding MediorNet Opportunities, Riedel's family of real-time signal routing, processing, and transportation solutions.

Eveleens joins Riedel after nearly a decade as CEO of Axon, a leading company in the field of transmission network infrastructure. Prior to joining Axon, he held Managing Director positions in the Netherlands at Philips Electronics and later in Grass Valley.

Eveleens has been involved in numerous industry associations, including the IABM, of which he was chairman of the board for several years. He holds a degree in electronics and computer science from Delft University of Technology.

Thomas Riedel welcomed Eveleens assuring that "Jan is an outstanding addition to our team. His broad and deep experience and expertise in video and broadcast technology and international business will be a great asset.
