Luis Miguel Gilperez, President of Telefónica Spain From 2011 to 2018, he joined the Advisory Council of the technology consultant Nae. Luis Miguel Gilpérez was born in Madrid in 1959 and is an Industrial Engineer and Master of Planning and Business Administration. In 1981 he joined Telefónica where he has developed his entire professional career and especially in activities related to mobile telephony.
From 2006 to September 2010, he was responsible for the Mobile Business area at Telefónica Latin America and later CEO of Telefónica in Brazil. It has been a pioneer in several initiatives that have put our country in the focus of all sector analysts, with milestones such as the elimination of the subsidy on mobile terminals and, above all, with the launch of the first convergent product to cover all needs. home communication: Movistar Fusión, or the fiber optic deployment plan that has turned Spain into one of the most advanced countries in the world in ultra-fast broadband networks. From 2011 to 2018 he was president of Telefónica Spain.
