Amazon launches a device streaming of different services with the options of a basic smart speaker like the Amazon Echo Dot and a universal remote control.
Under the name Amazon Fire TV Cube, Amazon launches a new device that, connected to the television, acts as a 4K Ultra HD streaming media player, giving access to a variety of services such as Netflix, Prime Video... It also works with the virtual personal assistant from Amazon, Alexa, which means you can access content, turn on living room lights, and perform other tasks using voice commands.
The new Amazon Fire TV Cube includes the HDMI CEC technology which allows control over compatible televisions, sound bars... With just a voice command, the user can turn a device on or off, change the volume or choose a channel or streaming service.
The Fire TV Cube joins a whole range of Amazon smart devices equipped with the Alexa assistant such as Amazon Echo, Echo Show and others, with which thermostats, light bulbs and other connected products can be controlled by voice or remotely.
Amazon will launch the Fire TV Cube on June 21 for $120.
