Costa del Sol Brigade: this is the title of the new series they will co-produce Mediaset Spain and Warner Bros. ITVP Spain with the participation of Netflix that will offer the fiction to its subscribers, both in Spain and internationally, once it has been broadcast on Telecinco.
Hugo Silva heads the cast of Costa del Sol Brigade along with Álvaro Cervantes, Jesús Castro, Miki Esparbé and Sara Sálamo. This new series, which will recreate the work carried out by a police unit that operated in the south of Spain under the name Grupo Especial de Narcotices Costa del Sol, will begin filming next Thursday, June 7 in different locations in Malaga and its province.
The series is inspired by the work of one of the first police units dedicated to combating drug trafficking and is set in Torremolinos in 1977. A team of police officers begins to work in the Costa del Sol Special Narcotics Group to combat the crimes related to drug trafficking that are being committed in the area. They have very few means, a lot of ingenuity and the necessary courage to face situations of maximum danger. Their spectacular results will soon make them the most successful police officers in Europe.
Three decades later, the work of this team will serve as inspiration for the plots that will be the backbone of the Costa del Sol Brigade, a series that will combine the crime genre with drama and romance and will have a very personal narrative, in which the voice-over of the protagonist will mark the story with a subjective and cynical point of view that will serve as a counterpoint to the harshness of the situations that the police unit will face.
