Panorama Audiovisual entrusts Power AV with the technical production of the Panorama Awards ceremony

Panorama Audiovisual has entrusted Power AV with the technical production of the ceremony to be held at IFEMA (Madrid) on May 8 in the space that usually hosts the Madrid Fashion Week fashion show during a ceremony in which technology and audiovisual will be combined with an urban, nocturnal and cosmopolitan atmosphere in which live music will play a leading role.

On May 8, the awards ceremony will take place Panorama Awards 2018 whose awards recognize the excellence, technological development and innovation of companies, professionals and productions in television, film, radio and advertising.

For the evening of the first day of the Professional Exhibition of Audiovisual Technology (BIT Audiovisual 2018) the Panorama Awards 2018 propose a unique event in which professionals from the audiovisual industry will be the protagonists.

On this occasion, Panorama Audiovisual has entrusted Power AV the technical production of the ceremony to be held in IFEMA-Feria de Madrid in the space that usually hosts the Madrid Fashion Week fashion show.

The technical direction of this unique project is in charge of the Aleixo Audiovisual Consultants, specialized in the design of events at the highest level of demand, while on the part of Power AV, with Jorge Ortega as CEO, Manuel Vicente, in lighting design; Alberto Cejudo, in the technical direction of sound; Gustavo Gil de Muro (video); and Roberto Ruiz, in coordination and council. Lara Cabello is in charge of the technical production while the artist is in charge of the artistic direction of the gala one more year Fernando Vázquez Mourelo.

Scenography

Vázquez Mourelo, one of the most renowned artists in contemporary figurative painting, has conceived an event in which technology and audiovisual will be combined with an urban, nocturnal and cosmopolitan atmosphere in which live music will play a leading role.

"For this edition, we propose a journey around the night in the big city illuminated by the light of neon lights reminiscent of American aesthetics and culture. Music will be an essential ingredient to create that climate that returns us to the culture and rebellion that both in Europe and in the United States marked the decade of the 70s. A decade in which television made up a large part of the language and aesthetics of a medium that was reaching maturity at the time. We only have to review programs such as those made by Fernando Navarrete, who will receive the Panorama Award for a Lifetime during the gala, to realize to what extent the 70s included television as we know it today. That look back combined with the most modern technology in audiovisual and lighting solutions promise a unique show," says the artist.

For the Panorama Awards, Power AV, in conjunction with Citylight and Milan Acoustics, has designed a scenography with almost two hundred light clipping points, more than seventy robotic and twenty mappable bars as well as numerous luminaires. For the band's PA that will accompany the delivery, line array with about 18,000 watts will be installed.

The gala will feature two first-class visual elements: a 30-meter-long videomapping consisting of a blending of five DLP projectors from Panasonic (PT-DZ21K) with 8K content projection developed by MaxPel Ibérica; and a large 22-square-meter LED screen Leyard. For the first time at an awards ceremony in Spain, the signal for the internal circuit will be produced in Ultra High Definition 4K using the new Panasonic AK-UC3000 cameras with optics Fujinon 4K.

After the gala, the nearly 600 guests will have the opportunity to celebrate these awards and exchange impressions during a cocktail party that will take place in an 800m² space next to the auditorium where the awards ceremony will take place. Power AV will also be in charge of the technical production of light and sound in this space.
