Pedro Mesquita assumes the presidency of Fujifilm in Spain and Portugal
The Portuguese will succeed Antonio Alcalá after reaching the age limit imposed by the Japanese multinational.
Fujifilm has appointed the Portuguese Pedro Mesquita as its new strong man to manage its operations in Spain and Portugal. With extensive experience in the medical sector, Mesquita will succeed Antonio Alcalá as president of Fujifilm Iberia, who has reached the age limit imposed by the Japanese multinational.
Born 49 years ago in Santo Tirso (Portugal), married and father of two daughters, Mesquita graduated in Radiology from the Polytechnic Institute of Porto and in Marketing Management from IPAM. In 1992 he joined Fujifilm Portugal as manager of the health unit.
In the last five years, Pedro Mesquita held the vice presidency for the medical devices area at Fujifilm Europe, in Düsseldorf (Germany), where the strategic headquarters of European operations is located. From now on he will carry out his position from Fujifilm's Iberian offices in Barcelona and Vila Nova de Gaia (Porto District).
