Hispasat en IBC 2017

Hispasat presents its latest satellites and technological innovations for the audiovisual market at IBC 2017 (stand 1C37). The Spanish satellite communications operator is demonstrating at the fair the possibilities of its new satellites, including the recently launched Amazonas 5, which expands the operator's capacity on the American continent.

This satellite, which has 24 Ku-band transponders and coverage over Central and South America, will allow the transmission of more than 500 television channels providing direct-to-home television (DTH) services and will be of great importance in promoting 4K television in the region. . In addition, this satellite incorporates 34 Ka-band spots that will provide connectivity services to more than half a million people in Latin America.

In addition, the operator will carry out several live demonstrations at its stand. On the one hand, a demonstration will be carried out via satellite in collaboration with Dolby Vision through audiovisual reception in 4K HDR format (HDR 10 and Dolby Vision simultaneously) using Hispasat's H30W-5 satellite, with content provided by Televisión Española.
